Dr. Rahul Ramachandran, who graduated with a Ph.D. (2002) from the Atmospheric Science department at the University of Huntsville has been selected for the 2010 Presidential Early Career award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE). Rahul is one of 85 researchers to receive this award. This is the nation’s highest honor bestowed by the United States Government on professionals in the early stages of their research careers (http://www.whitehouse.gov/administration/eop/ostp/pressroom/11052010).
This is indeed exciting because these are back-to-back PECASE awards for former ATS students. Last year it was Dr. Zhang and this year it is Dr. Ramachandran.
