Phillip Bitzer, New faculty member in the Atmospheric Science Department.
- We are pleased to announce that Phillip Bitzer will be joining the faculty of the Atmospheric Science department at UAHuntsville in August 2011. Phillip was hired as part of a recent faculty search in the area of Lightning. He will complete his PhD in Physics at the University of Alabama in Huntsville this summer. Phillip has played a key role in the development of the Huntsville Alabama Marx Meter Array (HAMMA) and will also conduct lightning research related to the soon-to-be-launched Geostationary Lightning Mapper (GLM).
